Yeah but we're supposed to want the pirates to win. The Brits as the ones trying to get rid of piracy are automatically the bad guys.
Woo Pirates!!!!

I think the empire wasn't so much the antagonists as the east india trading company was. They worked for the government but were shady in the way they handled things. Like when Elizabeth and Will were to be arrested and Elizabeth's father tried to send her back to England with letters to the King. The company stopped that because they didn't want the King to know what was going on. So yes piracy was a bad thing but we sympathize with the pirates and root for them because the East India trading company were shady characters. Plus it made for interesting movie twist the should be good guys aren't and the would be bad guys are our heros.

They worked for a supervision though were untrustworthy in a approach they rubbed things. The association stopped which since they didn’t wish a King to know what was starting on. So approbation robbery was a bad thing though you sympathize with a pirates as well as base for them since a East India trade association were untrustworthy characters. Plus it done for engaging film turn a should be great guys aren’t as well as a would be bad guys have been the heros.

The Brits are looked at as 'bully's'. Killing the innocent, people who claim to be pirates. Do they set high taxes too? I can't remember, but that is an interesting take, now that the US is dealing with the Somalia incident.
