What’s a cheapest approach to fly in to a United Kingdom?

I’m deliberation receiving the outing with my partner (in fact, as the probable honeymoon) to the United Kingdom. We do not have the WHOLE lot of income as good as drifting in to London is expensive. Can we indicate the little cheaper airports to fly in to may be no some-more than the couple of hours divided in that we could take the sight in to London? Can we suggest any alternative transport advice? we have been to Ireland (well, only Dublin) so I’m not all unknown with general transport though any recommendation would be solid.
